The Return of a 70s Icon
Born in the late sixties to lighten ash Telecasters, the Telecaster Thinline adopted two Wide-Range humbuckers and a boldly curved pearloid pickguard starting in 1972. This American Vintage II faithfully reinterprets this historic model, down to the manufacturing details (3-bolt neck plate with Micro-Tilt, "Bullet" truss rod, vintage hardware) and its refined "Candy Apple Red" finish celebrating Fender's golden era.
Who Is It For and What Styles?
Ideal for intermediate to expert guitarists seeking a credible vintage tone on stage and in the studio. Thanks to its HH configuration and semi-hollow body, it excels in 70's rock, indie, soul, pop, funk, and modern country, while remaining versatile enough for crisp clean sounds and meaty crunches.
The Sound
The Wide-Range CuNiFe magnet humbuckers deliver a unique balance: full lows, singing mids, and sparkling highs, less compressed than a traditional humbucker. The semi-hollow ash body adds air, a fast attack, and natural sustain, while the one-piece maple neck enhances definition. The simple and effective electronics (Master Volume, Master Tone, 3-position selector) allow switching from woody twang to powerful drive. The 6-saddle folded steel string-through fixed bridge optimizes intonation and projection, for a Tele that is both snappy and refined.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
Supplied with a vintage black case (orange interior), it's road-ready. To preserve playability and tone, choose nickel strings .010-.046 (original gauge). A curved capo suited to 7.25" radius fingerboards will ensure perfect intonation. A standard strap with classic buttons will fit perfectly on its original strap buttons.
