The Essentials to Know About the Fender Vintera II '70s Telecaster Bass

  • Seventies Authenticity: Alder body, maple neck and fingerboard with 7.25" radius for that vintage Fender feel.

  • Power and Warmth: "Wide Range" humbucker bass pickup at the neck, delivering dense lows, punchy mids, and smooth highs.

  • Vintage Hardware: 2-saddle steel bridge and 70s stamped tuners for sustain and stability.

  • Playing Comfort: Mid '70s "C" neck profile, long 34" / 864 mm scale length, 20 Vintage Tall frets, Deluxe gig bag included.

A Faithful Tribute to the 70s Telecaster Bass

The Vintera II '70s Telecaster Bass celebrates the era when the Tele Bass adopted a massive humbucker at the neck and simple, robust hardware. Within the Vintera II range, it embodies the most direct and powerful version of the vintage Fender tone, with craftsmanship and electronics designed to recapture the character of these iconic models.

Who Is It For and What Styles?

Ideal for intermediate to expert bassists (and discerning beginners), it shines in classic rock, soul, old-school funk, indie, garage, or stoner styles. Its responsive attack, clear articulation, and warmth from the neck make it a natural ally for holding the mix, from studio to stage.

The Sound

The alder body delivers exemplary low/mid balance and lively projection. The maple/maple combination adds attack and clarity. The "Wide Range" humbucker bass pickup at the neck offers a dense and full signature, quiet, with meaty mids and a smooth yet precise high end. The simple Volume + Tone circuit allows you to go from thick growl to more articulated groove. The 2-saddle steel bridge promotes the sustain and resonance typical of 70s Tele Bass models.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To maintain the original feel and tension, choose a set of 34" long scale nickel-plated steel strings .045-.105 (Fender 7250M type). A wide 2" or wider strap and a universal bass stand will ensure comfort and security. Since the Deluxe gig bag is included, a Fender hard case in Precision/Jazz 34" format is recommended if you seek maximum protection.
