A Signature Telecaster Calibrated for Power
Developed with Jim Root, this Telecaster deliberately moves away from vintage codes to offer a modern war machine: a sober design, a streamlined control panel, and a platform built to handle the heaviest saturations. Within the lineup, it positions itself as a metal-oriented Telecaster, where every choice (wood, pickups, hardware, ergonomics) serves efficiency and stability rather than ornamentation.
Who Is This Jim Root Telecaster For?
This guitar is aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking an ultra-direct solid-body for modern metal, nu-metal, hardcore, and all styles played in low tunings. The 12" / 305 mm radius neck and 22 Medium Jumbo frets favor fast riffs, tight palm mutes, and fluid solos, while the minimalist electronics (one volume, one selector) go straight to the point on stage and in the studio.
The Sound
The mahogany body provides a dense and warm sonic foundation, with solid low mids that add weight to riffs. The pair of active EMG humbuckers (EMG 81 at the bridge / EMG 60 at the neck) enhances impact: at the bridge, the attack is precise and cutting, ideal for high saturation rhythms and low tunings; at the neck, the tone gains thickness and sustain for leads and rounder textures. The 6-string hardtail through-body bridge contributes to an immediate response feel, stable sustain, and excellent tuning stability-perfect for aggressive playing and heavy back-and-forths.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To stay true to the original setup, you can use electric guitar string sets in .009-.042 gauge, such as Fender USA 250L (nickel-plated steel). The guitar comes with a Deluxe Black Tweed hardshell case (red plush interior), ideal for daily transport and protection.
