The Fluence Signature: a modern single coil designed for the stage
With the Fluence series, Fishman offers a contemporary approach to single coil pickups: preserving the typical feel and attack of an S-style setup while providing a palette immediately usable both live and in the studio. This set of 3 pickups in black finish easily fits into instruments geared towards rock, blues, funk, or pop, emphasizing clarity, dynamics, and consistency from pickup to pickup.
For which guitarists and styles?
This set is aimed at guitarists who want to switch from an articulated "vintage" sound to a more pronounced character without changing guitars. The "Vintage" mode highlights the brightness and openness expected from a single coil, ideal for crisp chords, precise arpeggios, and clean tones with lots of nuance. The "Hot Texas" mode delivers more density and presence to drive an amp, thicken crunch tones, or add body to lead lines, while maintaining the single coil identity.
Two voicings, two presence peaks: shape your place in the mix
The 2-way selector allows you to tailor the response curve to your playing and pedalboard: mode 1 features a 4kHz peak for a brighter attack and sharpness useful for cutting through a busy mix. Mode 2 places its peak at 3kHz, often perceived as rounder and more "vocal," handy for thickening mids and achieving a meatier tone. The Alnico IV magnetization contributes to a balance between smoothness and precision, while the output impedance rated at 2k ohms fits within a 9V-powered design, engineered to offer stable and consistent response across positions.
