Flight Flight: Sophia Concert Electro Ukulele SoundWavePU -

A Modern Approach to the Stage Ukulele with the Soundwave Pickup System

With the Soundwave Pickup System, Flight focuses on an experience designed for today's musicians: a ukulele that remains inspiring acoustically but also becomes a true performance tool once amplified. The idea is simple and effective: you keep control over your sound thanks to preamp controls and built-in effects accessible immediately, without needing to add external gear other than a cable. Within the range, the Sophia stands out with its contemporary look, careful finishes, and the desire to offer a "stage-ready" solution without complicating playing.

Who Is the Flight Sophia Concert For?

The Flight Sophia Concert is suitable both for the beginner who wants to start with a rewarding and comfortable instrument, and for the intermediate or advanced musician looking for a reliable, expressive ukulele ready to be amplified. Its concert size promotes a natural grip while offering a broader playing feel than a soprano. Style-wise, it is particularly suited for pop/folk accompaniment, playing enriched chords, light fingerstyle, as well as concert settings where stability and sound control are essential.

Sound: Solid Spruce, Laminated Walnut, and Balanced Response

The solid spruce top is a major asset for projection and dynamics: the attack is clear, the high register remains singing, and the instrument responds precisely to nuances (lighter or stronger right-hand playing). Paired with laminated walnut back and sides, the response maintains a good level of clarity, with a welcome sense of sustain and stability for an instrument intended to move (rehearsals, transport, stage). The glossy finish contributes to the Sophia's visual "high-end" appeal, while the choice of a bone nut helps better vibration transmission and an increased sense of definition on sustained notes. Finally, the Worth Brown fluorocarbon strings provide precise intonation and very clear articulation, ideal for highlighting chord inversions and melodic passages.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To fully enjoy the Soundwave Pickup System when amplified, plan for a 6.35 mm instrument jack cable (standard). For daily maintenance and tuning accuracy, a clip-on tuner remains a simple and universal choice, complementing the already high-quality tuners. For identical replacement, a set of Worth Brown fluorocarbon strings with a gauge adapted to concert size will preserve the original feel and tonal color.
