Flight GUT850 Solid Top Guitarlele -

A compact model that naturally fits into the Flight Guitarlele Series

The Flight GUT850 Solid Top Guitarlele is part of a family of instruments designed to bridge the gap between the world of the ukulele and that of the guitar. In the Flight Guitarlele Series, the idea is simple: to offer a more compact instrument that is easy to take anywhere, yet expressive enough not to be limited to the role of a mere backup instrument.

This model immediately stands out with its " Solid Top " designation, highlighting a more refined approach to acoustic craftsmanship. In a range dedicated to mobility and immediate enjoyment, this feature adds real value: the instrument is not only defined by its compact size, but also by its ability to deliver a richer, more sensitive response over time.

An ideal companion for travelling guitarists and anyone curious about the format

The GUT850 is suited to a range of musicians. It may appeal to beginners looking for a compact instrument that feels less visually intimidating and is comfortable to play every day. It will also suit experienced guitarists who want a secondary instrument for travelling, songwriting, warming up or practising without taking out their full-size guitar.

This type of instrument can easily find its place in a variety of musical settings: acoustic pop, light folk, vocal accompaniment, arpeggiated playing, rhythmic practice and spontaneous musical moments. Its compact format encourages a relaxed and intuitive approach. It is an excellent choice for musicians who want to play often, anywhere, and maintain a direct connection with their instrument.

For a teacher, content creator or musician who likes to capture an idea quickly, a guitarlele like this can become a genuine working tool. It encourages a freer, more mobile and often more regular practice simply because it invites you to pick it up and play without restrictions.

A lively sound driven by the solid top and guitarlele format

On an acoustic instrument of this type, the top plays a central role in projection, attack and dynamic sensitivity. Here, the " Solid Top " designation indicates a solid top, a feature valued for its responsiveness. In practice, this generally translates into a more open response, greater nuance between gentle playing and a more pronounced attack, as well as an acoustic character that tends to mature with use.

The guitarlele format, for its part, brings a distinctive tonal character. More compact than a traditional acoustic guitar, it promotes a fast response, a clear attack and a register often perceived as lively, singing and immediate. This compactness also affects projection: the sound remains focused and precise, making it particularly enjoyable for close-up playing, light accompaniment and melodic ideas.

Without going into wood specifications that have not been provided for the back and sides, it can already be said that the instrument's overall balance is based on the combination of a compact body and a solid top. This pairing gives the instrument a more natural response under the fingers, with measured yet musical sustain and excellent clarity in both chords and note-by-note lines.

For the musician, this means an expressive, lively and rewarding instrument that offers more than just practicality. The GUT850 can support chordal playing just as effectively as more melodic work, with an acoustic character that remains clear, intimate and inspiring, particularly well suited to home sessions, travelling and spontaneous creative moments.
