A classic "vibe": the Univibe heritage revisited Fulltone style

The Mini Deja Vibe 3 v2 follows in the footsteps of the 1960s "Univibe" effects: a modulation halfway between phaser and chorus/vibrato, recognizable by its irregular, deep, and lively movement. While many compact pedals approach a classic phaser sound, Fulltone claims a more faithful approach: an architecture based on sealed photocells and a bulb, with detailed work on the rise and fall times of the cells to recapture the very particular breathing of vintage units.

Positioned in the Fulltone range as a "pro" and compact solution, this version emphasizes circuit authenticity and an extended speed range, designed to cover both slow, floating pulses and more nervous, percussive movements.

Who is the Mini Deja Vibe 3 v2 for?

This pedal is aimed at guitarists (and more broadly musicians using Jack connections) who want an expressive modulation that is musically credible, without a "plastic" effect. It suits both intermediate players and professionals: easy to integrate, yet nuanced enough to reward dynamic playing and attack variations.

In terms of styles, it feels at home in blues, rock, and psychedelic, but also in funk (for moving rhythms) and ambient (to broaden soundscapes with slow rotational modulation). In the studio, it adds a "3D" depth without cluttering the mix; live, it becomes an instant signature for intros, solos, and textured passages.

Controls, design, and features: designed for foot operation

The Mini Deja Vibe 3 v2 focuses on natural interaction: the goal is to move from a subtle pulse to a more pronounced modulation without breaking the flow. Its True Bypass footswitch is designed to be triggered with heel or toe, convenient if you want to activate it without repositioning your foot, or conversely to use it in a very "performative" way.

Fulltone also emphasizes "boutique"-style design choices: fully discrete electronics (no op-amp in the audio path) and operation at 18V to maintain breadth, even with powerful pickups or an already loaded effects chain. Speed control benefits from dedicated components (gear-driven potentiometer and specific optocouplers), resulting in a wider speed range than many clones and a smoother feel in transitions.

Sound Character

Expect a meaty, liquid, and genuinely organic modulation: the movement is not "perfectly regular," and that is precisely what gives this very addictive vintage character. At slow settings, the pedal creates a wide halo, ideal for thickening a clean tone, adding air to chords, or rounding off a slightly overdriven sound. At faster speeds, it brings a rotary and nervous edge that highlights the pick attack and gives a "mechanical" rotation impression.

Dynamics remain a strong point: the Mini Deja Vibe 3 v2 responds well to guitar volume, attack, and how the amp compresses. Placed before an overdrive/fuzz, it can become very expressive and psychedelic; after distortion, it emphasizes a clearer and sharper movement. Visually, the pulsing blue LED helps lock the speed to the tempo, and the hammered blue finish enhances the modern vintage look.
