A Furch Dreadnought Designed for Resonance and Playability

The Blue Dreadnought CM follows Furch's approach: precise luthiery, solid woods, and finish choices focused primarily on sound. Here, the Open Pore finish emphasizes the natural vibration of the body, while the CNR system enhances neck stability and tuning consistency-a real advantage both daily and on tour.

Who Is This Blue Dreadnought CM For?

Thanks to its Dreadnought format and tonal balance, this electro-acoustic guitar is well suited for intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking an expressive, responsive, and versatile instrument. It excels in fingerstyle (soft attack, easy control of dynamics) but remains very comfortable for strumming in pop, folk, singer-songwriter styles, and rhythmic accompaniment, with projection that fills the space effortlessly.

Sound Characteristics

The Western Red Cedar top provides a soft attack, immediate warmth, and excellent sensitivity to dynamics, especially enjoyable when working on finger nuances. The African mahogany back and sides add clarity in the midrange, natural definition, and a woody grain that helps the guitar remain clear in a mix. The Dreadnought body shape promotes projection and ample bass, while the Open Pore finish contributes to a "living" resonance feel. When plugged in, the LR Baggs Element Active System electronics allow quick tone adjustment via the Volume and Tone controls, ensuring a consistent sound from home to stage.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

For amplified use, a standard 6.35 mm jack cable is essential. For standing play, a classic strap will work (mounting on standard strap buttons).
