Furch Green Grand Auditorium Sr

The Green Series: The Furch Spirit in an Elegant and Versatile Version

With the Green Grand Auditorium G, Furch emphasizes sober and efficient lutherie: recognized tonewoods, AA grade selection, and a finish designed to let the wood breathe. The Grand Auditorium format follows the tradition of modern "all-terrain" guitars, capable of supporting a voice with breadth while remaining precise and articulate for more delicate playing.

For Which Guitarists and Styles?

This Furch is particularly aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking an expressive, responsive, and balanced acoustic. It excels in folk, acoustic pop, singer-songwriter, and fingerstyle, while retaining enough dynamic reserve for energetic strumming. Its playing comfort and 45 mm / 1.77" nut width will also appeal to those who enjoy space for fingerstyle playing and enriched chords.

Sound

The solid Sitka spruce top provides clarity, attack, and a great dynamic range: the harder you play, the more the instrument responds without compressing. The solid Indian rosewood back and sides enhance bass depth, treble brightness, and especially harmonic richness, with generous sustain and a sense of sonic width. The Grand Auditorium format helps maintain an excellent balance between present lows and clear mids, making the guitar equally comfortable for accompaniment and melodic playing. The combination of satin back/sides and glossy top achieves a successful compromise: refined aesthetics on the top side and preserved natural resonance for a lively and expressive touch.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To maintain the original behavior, opt for phosphor bronze acoustic string sets in 12-53 gauge (equivalent to the installed set: Elixir Ph-Bz 12-53). A microfiber cloth and some picks ideally complement maintenance and exploration of nuances (soft finger attack, sharper strumming with a pick).
