A Grand Auditorium Furch Designed for Demands and Versatility
With this electro-acoustic Grand Auditorium cutaway, Furch emphasizes a resolutely "high-end lutherie" approach: selected solid woods, meticulous finishes, and vibrational optimization. The Grand Auditorium format lies at the heart of the brand's versatility, offering an excellent compromise between projection, comfort, and frequency balance, while the cutaway enhances freedom of play in the high register.
For Which Guitarists and Styles?
The Furch Gc is aimed at intermediate to expert guitarists seeking a responsive, precise, and inspiring acoustic, suitable for both fingerstyle and dynamic pick playing. Its comfort (Bevel Duo, chamfers) and access to the high notes make it ideal for composition, modern accompaniment, fingerstyle, pop, folk, and rich arrangements where every note must remain clear. Plugged in, it retains a natural acoustic identity, suitable for stage and studio.
Sound
The solid alpine spruce top provides definition, a clear attack, and an excellent dynamic range: perfect for transitioning from delicate playing to stronger accents without sound saturation. The solid LR rosewood back and sides enrich the palette with a broad harmonic base, generous sustain, and elegant woody texture, while maintaining good note separation. The Master's Grade voicing refines the instrument's response: bass remains controlled, mids gain warmth, and highs express themselves with clarity, favoring precision in complex chords and melodic playing. The Full-Pore High-Gloss finish highlights the color and grain, while the precious wood details (binding, rosette, veneers) emphasize the artisanal and premium character of the whole.
