Who are Alto Diatonic Boomwhackers for?
This set of 8 tuned musical tubes is intended for beginners as well as musicians looking to approach group music-making in a different way. It allows users to take their first steps without having to master a complex instrumental technique. Teachers, music facilitators and activity leaders can incorporate it into sessions where listening and participation matter just as much as the sonic result.
The diatonic scale is well suited to nursery rhymes, simple melodies and rhythmic accompaniment. In a group, each person can take responsibility for one note and play at the right moment: a practical way to work on the pulse, coordination and awareness of others. The tubes also have a place in choreography or a musical story.
- Suitable for group activities, psychomotor development, choreography and musical storytelling.
