Part of the Historic Reissue programs, this ES-335 pays tribute to the 1961 models studied and digitized by the Custom Shop. Every contour, "Skinny C" neck profile, and decorative element has been precisely reproduced to deliver the feel and soul of the original dot models, while ensuring the reliability of a high-end modern instrument.
For whom, and for which styles?
Designed for intermediate to expert guitarists, this ES-335 excels from jazz to blues, classic rock to soul and indie. Its versatility, studio performance, and stage stability make it an ideal partner for demanding musicians seeking fast playability and dynamic response.
The sound
The laminated maple/poplar/maple body, combined with the semi-hollow center block architecture, delivers singing mids, silky highs, and firm lows, with controlled projection and generous sustain. The unpotted Custombucker Alnico III humbuckers provide a bright attack, natural compression, and the much sought-after "PAF" smoothness. The ABR-1 bridge and lightweight aluminum stopbar tailpiece enhance resonance, while the CTS 500K potentiometers preserve the air and openness of the upper spectrum.

Protect and optimize your ES-335 with a hard case in ES-335 format, a leather strap 5 to 8 cm wide, a set of nickel electric strings 10-46 (or 11-49 if you prefer more tension), as well as a capo for 6-string electric guitar. These accessories are perfectly compatible with this model.
