The Sound

The non-paraffin-coated Alnico III Custombuckers deliver natural compression and singing mids, with airy highs and firm lows. The 2 volume / 2 tone CTS 500K wiring and Paper-in-Oil capacitors reveal vintage textures highly responsive to the volume knob. The laminated maple/poplar/maple top provides attack, while the center block, ABR-1 bridge, and aluminum tailpiece ensure sustain and definition. The result: an expressive instrument capable of silky cleans, organic crunch, and richly textured overdrives.
