The Sound

The Dogear P-90 bridge pickup is at the heart of this Junior's identity: meaty mids that naturally stand out in the mix, gritty highs that bite without becoming cold, and full bass tones that remain clear. The manual wiring combined with an Orange Drop capacitor provides a smooth response to the controls: the guitar "cleans up" effectively at lower volumes and thickens immediately when played harder. The combination of mahogany body and neck, with the short scale length of 24.75" / 628.65 mm, favors a supple feel under the left hand, natural sustain, and a very present attack. Finally, the wraparound bridge (directly mounted into the body) enhances string-to-hand connection and projection, with a very organic tone.
