The last production year of the original Les Paul Standard, 1960 marks the arrival of the thin "Slim Taper" neck and distinctive aesthetic details. This Custom Shop reissue faithfully captures the spirit of the legendary "Burst 60" models prized by iconic guitarists, featuring a VOS patina and carefully selected materials to respect historical specifications.

Designed for intermediate to expert guitarists, this Les Paul excels in blues, classic rock, hard rock, and pop. The 12" radius favors smooth bends and full chords, while the 24.75" / 628 mm scale length offers a supple feel under the fingers. The sound

The unpotted Alnico III Custombuckers reproduce the PAF character: firm lows, creamy mids, and silky highs, with a natural "bloom" and excellent dynamics. The aluminum ABR-1/Stop Bar combo and long tenon maximize sustain and stability. CTS 500k potentiometers and Paper-in-Oil capacitors ensure smooth volume/tone response, useful for sculpting vintage crunch, bright cleans in the middle position, or biting leads at the bridge. The mahogany/maple combination provides projection and density, making the guitar both expressive and versatile.

Recommended compatible accessories

To preserve the nitrocellulose finish, favor a nitro-compatible stand (non-reactive coatings). Install nickel strings 10-46 to maintain original tension and feel. Add a quality leather strap with sturdy ends for standard strap buttons, and a curved capo suited to the 12" radius.
