The return of a sixties hollowbody icon

Close cousin to the Epiphone Casino, the ES-330 made its mark on the 60s scenes thanks to its lightness, immediate response, and unique tone. This Tobacco Sunburst version reinstates the model at the heart of the Gibson range, preserving the historic recipe: 3-ply maple/poplar/maple body, set neck, and traditional electronics, to rediscover the magic of a hollowbody with authentically vintage character.

Who is it for and what styles?

Ideal for intermediate to expert guitarists seeking an expressive guitar for jazz, blues, soul, rock'n'roll, and indie. Fully hollow, the ES-330 excels in clean tones and moderate crunch; it offers airy dynamics and great touch sensitivity. At very high gain, its lively behavior requires control and positioning, which will appeal to players who enjoy working with the instrument's natural acoustic qualities.

The sound

The Dogear P-90s deliver a full single-coil sound: generous mids, singing highs, and precise attack. Hand-wired with 500k potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors preserves the upper spectrum openness and responsiveness of the Volume/Tone controls. The fully hollow 3-ply body provides breath, projection, and beautiful note "breathing." The ABR-1 bridge combined with the trapeze tailpiece promotes smooth sustain and a slightly rounder attack. The "deep" neck optimizes bridge placement, contributing to tonal balance and intonation.

Recommended compatible accessories

Nickel electric guitar strings in gauge 10-46 (or 11-49 for more tension), leather or nylon strap with standard ends, quality 6.35 mm jack instrument cable, guitar stand with neck support, and microfiber cloth for maintaining the Tobacco Sunburst finish.
