While the SG Bass’s short scale is favored by players with smaller hands, it is also preferred by many for the strong fundamental tone this short-scale bass is known for. As expected, the solid mahogany body features deeply carved contours, and the rounded-profile mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard is familiar and comfortable. A pair of calibrated SG bass pickups (neck and bridge) with individual volume and master tone controls add further tonal possibilities.
