Godin A12 Natural Sg + Gigbag

A modern 12-string: lightness, finesse, and efficiency in the A12 range

Designed to offer the feel of a slim guitar while retaining the typical fullness of a 12-string, the A12 Natural SG features a double-chambered maple body that is both lightweight and resonant. Its very slim profile (50 mm) promotes comfort whether playing standing or seated, while maintaining good acoustic volume thanks to the maple/cedar combination.

For which guitarists and styles?

This guitar is aimed at intermediate to advanced players (and motivated beginners) who want to capture the "shimmer" of a 12-string without struggling with a bulky body. It excels in folk, pop, acoustic rock, ballads, and fingerpicking accompaniment, where harmonic richness and natural chorus effects make all the difference.

The sound

The solid cedar top provides a soft attack, warm mids, and a quick response ideal for fingerpicking. The double-chambered maple body enhances clarity, definition, and note separation-a major asset on a 12-string to keep playing clear. The slim body contributes to a more "direct" feel under the fingers, while the piezo pickup at the saddle preserves chord intelligibility when amplified, especially useful for rhythm playing.

Recommended compatible accessories

To fully exploit this 12-string, you can pair it with a chromatic tuner (essential for a 12-string), plectrums (various thicknesses depending on desired attack), and a guitar stand for storage at home or in the studio.
