A Modern Nylon Designed for Stage and Versatility
The ACS-SA Slim was designed to combine the sensations of a classical guitar with the control of a solid body guitar. Presented as an entry-level nylon model in the Multiac/ACS family with synth access function, it focuses on performance-oriented lutherie: maple body with acoustic chambers, and an overall design closer to a solid body than a traditional instrument. The result: a guitar made for amplification, with greatly reduced feedback risk, and ergonomics that facilitate playing during long sessions.
Who Is It For, and In Which Styles?
This guitar is aimed at the advanced beginner to experienced guitarist who wants to switch to nylon on stage without the constraints of a miked classical guitar. It excels in pop, Latin, jazz, variety, film music, and live contexts where clear tones, effects, and sustained volumes alternate. Its "slim" neck and pronounced radius favor modern playing (extended chords, fast runs, possible pick accompaniment) while retaining the identity of nylon strings.
Sound
The combination of a maple body with acoustic chambers and a solid cedar top aims for a balance between precise attack and musicality. Maple provides definition and quick response, while cedar supports a softer, singing feel. On the amplification side, the individual pickups paired with the RMC preamplifier deliver an articulated, detail-rich signal, highly usable with an amp, PA system, or effects chain. The hexaphonic output and 13-pin connector also allow string-by-string synth control, particularly useful for arrangements, orchestral sounds, or electronic textures.

Questions frequently asked
Does the 13-pin output on the ACS Slim Nylon SA allow the use of a guitar synth?
The hexaphonic 13-pin output allows the guitar to be connected to a compatible guitar-synth system. Each string has its own sensor, driven by a specially designed RMC preamplifier.
Does this nylon guitar limit feedback on stage?
The hybrid maple construction with sound chambers is designed for high-volume amplification. The chambers provide controlled resonance under the fingers. This design reduces feedback sensitivity compared to a traditional classical guitar equipped for the stage.
Is the neck suitable after playing an electric guitar?
With a Graphtech nut width of 43.2 mm and a 16-inch radius, the slim neck facilitates the transition from an electric or acoustic guitar. The scale length is 647.7 mm.
What case and strings are provided?
A gig bag is included, and the original setup uses HTC Nylon strings in gauges .0285, .0327, .0410, .030, .036, and .044.
How many frets does the Godin ACS Slim Nylon SA have?
This model has 22 frets and a cutaway for access to the upper frets. The fingerboard is composite and the glued neck is mahogany.
