An xtSA designed for modern versatility (studio, stage, MIDI)
The xtSA follows the line of Godin guitars focused on versatility, with a unique approach: combining a true electric section, an "acoustic" section with sensors, and an integrated synth control. This design allows for a single instrument to cover very different registers, with the possibility to mix the voices directly on the guitar via dedicated outputs.
For whom, and in which styles?
The Godin xtSA is aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists who want to switch from one sound to another without changing instruments: covers, cover bands, pop/rock, funk, variety, film music, as well as home studio work. The synth section (13-pin output) will particularly interest musicians who use GR-type sounds and 13-pin compatible devices, to expand their palette beyond the guitar.
The sound
In electric mode, the humbucker-single-humbucker configuration delivers a very wide spectrum: full and powerful attacks from the humbuckers, and clearer, snappier textures via the 5-position selector switch combinations. At the same time, the RMC sensors provide an astonishingly natural "acoustic" voice, enhanced by a preamp and a 3-band EQ to precisely adjust presence, brightness, and low end depending on the amp or mixing console. Finally, the synth sensor and 13-pin output open access to an additional sonic layer, ideal for layering textures, pads, or orchestral sounds.
Recommended compatible accessories
To stay as close as possible to the original feel, you can opt for electric strings with a 10-46 gauge (set .010, .013, .017, .026, .036, .046), matching the indicated gauge. The guitar is delivered with a gig bag, practical for transport and daily storage.

Questions frequently asked
Is the Godin XT SA compatible with a Roland GR synthesizer?
The built-in 13-pin synth output is compatible with devices featuring a 13-pin connector, including the GR series. The synth sensor allows adding pads, textures, or orchestral sounds.
Can the electric and acoustic sounds be blended?
The dual output enables direct mixing of the electric voice and the acoustic voice from the RMC pickups.
What pickups does this guitar have?
