Gr Bass NF 112H-350 ACTIVE SPEAKER NATURAL

Historical Context and Positioning in the Range

With the NF 112H-350, GR Bass offers its "pure sound" approach in an active and lightweight version, featuring a natural fiber finish. This philosophy aims to provide modern amplification that is easy to transport while respecting the character of the instrument and the preamp used. Within the range, this model positions itself as a high-end "plug-and-play" solution for bassists who want a compact cabinet without relying on a separate amp head, while maintaining a true stage projection feel.

Who This Amp Is For

This active cabinet is intended for intermediate to professional bassists seeking a quick-to-set-up and reliable solution for rehearsal, studio, and stage. It is especially suitable for musicians using an active bass or a preamp (pedal, rack, multi-effects) who want to directly drive a coherent amplification system without multiplying components. Style-wise, its extended response and tweeter make it comfortable for funk, pop, fusion, gospel, modern metal, as well as contemporary jazz where definition and dynamics are essential.

Features and Innovations

The GR Bass NF 112H-350 is designed as an integrated amplification system : you get a 1x12 cabinet housing 350 W RMS power, ready to operate as soon as it's powered. The idea is to centralize essentials in a single unit: your sound is shaped upstream (instrument, preamp, pedals), then the cabinet delivers clean, stable, and coherent projection. This approach is particularly interesting for modern setups (pedalboard + DI/preamp) and for bassists who often switch between configurations without wanting to recalibrate an amp head each time.

Sound Character

This is a decidedly modern approach: a 12-inch Jensen/Sica capable of handling power, paired with a 1-inch horn tweeter to provide attack, clarity, and air in the upper spectrum. The expected result is a precise sound, with clear note definition, fast response, and low-end presence starting at 38 Hz, useful for chords, 5-string basses, and contemporary tones. The stated 99 dB SPL sensitivity helps achieve projection and perceived volume without excessive pushing. Sonically, this type of cabinet is ideal for preserving the signature of your instrument and preamp rather than adding strong coloration. Notably, artists associated with GR Bass (such as Leland Sklar or Federico Malaman) are often linked to clean, defined, and highly articulated sounds, which aligns well with the DNA of this active 1x12 format focused on "definition + dynamics."
