Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
The GR BASS NF 112H-8 Natural fits the brand's approach: offering modern, powerful, and easy-to-transport cabinets, with a 1x12 format highly appreciated for its balance between deep lows and precision. The natural fiber construction emphasizes lightness and rigidity while being designed for intensive use (rehearsals, concerts, studios).
Who This Amp Is For
This cabinet is aimed at intermediate to professional bassists seeking a versatile cabinet capable of covering various contexts: home practice (at controlled volume), rehearsals, small to medium venues, or studio work. Its 1x12 format is particularly suited to styles where definition and control are desired (funk, pop, rock, gospel, fusion), while still providing enough body to support a band.
Features and Innovations
The NF 112H-8 is a passive cabinet designed to be paired with a bass amp head. Its front-ported bass reflex helps project low frequencies forward, useful when the cabinet is close to a wall or in a confined space. The 1-inch tweeter with 4-position attenuation allows adapting the high-frequency response: softer for a vintage sound, more open for slap, harmonics, and effects.
Sound Characteristics
With its 12-inch neodymium speaker, this cabinet delivers solid lows, clear mids, and fast attack, with a very direct dynamic feel. The high sensitivity (99 dB SPL) gives an impression of power and presence even with a moderate power head. The adjustable tweeter adds the necessary brightness to stand out in the mix (pick attack, slap, chorus, and delays), or conversely to blend in for a rounder texture.
