Gretsch Drums Renown Maple Rock 24 Piano Black

Historical context and position within the range

The Renown Maple series has established itself over the decades as one of Gretsch's most versatile ranges, appreciated for its ability to cover a wide variety of musical contexts without changing its personality. Manufactured in Taiwan to demanding quality standards, it incorporates the brand's iconic design elements to deliver the "big American sound": an open, broad and naturally harmonic signature, equally at home in the studio under microphones or on stage through a sound system.

Who this drum set/shell pack is for

This Gretsch Renown Maple shell pack is aimed at the intermediate to advanced drummer looking for a solid, expressive and reliable foundation for frequent playing across a variety of styles. The 24-inch bass drum delivers an immediate presence for rock, pop, funk and all modern styles requiring a broad low end. Thanks to the maple and the bearing-edge design, the kit also retains the dynamic finesse needed for more nuanced contexts, from modern jazz to swing, particularly with a higher and more open tuning.

It is also an excellent choice for studio and touring drummers: the series is designed to hold its tuning, respond quickly to variations in touch, and provide an immediately usable sound, with plenty of room for customization through different heads and adjustments.
