An Electromatic Jet designed to recapture the Gretsch spirit
Derived from the Jet heritage that has shaped decades of music, the G5230T Electromatic Jet FT Single-Cut with Bigsby embraces the fundamentals: a comfortable Jet format, a resonant hollow body, and the Gretsch sonic DNA carried by Filter'Tron pickups. This combination aims for an immediately recognizable sound, while remaining accessible and stage-oriented thanks to modern ergonomics and simple controls.
For whom, and in which styles?
This electric guitar is aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists who want a vintage-character solid-body but versatile enough to cover a full set. Ideal for rock, rockabilly, indie, blues, and pop: it excels in crisp clean tones, punchy crunch, and articulate overdrives. The short scale facilitates bends and expressive playing, and the Bigsby encourages a more "singing" phrasing.
The sound
The core of the tone comes from the hollow mahogany body, which provides depth, a livelier response, and a beautiful resonance sensation, while retaining the impact of a Jet. The carved maple top adds attack and extra definition, useful for making chords and riffs stand out. The Black Top Filter'Tron pickups deliver a wide and balanced range: solid lows, dynamic mids, and bright but controlled highs, with excellent note separation. On the electronics side, the individual volumes allow fine balancing of each pickup, and the master volume with treble bleed preserves clarity when lowering the level, handy for switching from crunch to clean without losing presence.
