With this G6120 Eddie Cochran Signature, Gretsch pays tribute to one of the great pioneers of rock'n'roll and rockabilly. Based on the distinctively modified instrument that accompanied Cochran, it captures the spirit of the iconic Gretsch "Nashville" hollow bodies: an iconic aesthetic, construction focused on attack and dynamics, and an immediately recognizable sonic identity.

This guitar is aimed at intermediate to advanced players seeking a true vintage personality, both on stage and in the studio. The 3-position selector switch facilitates quick changes between bright rhythm, crunchy grit, and rounder tones.
The Sound
The arched laminated maple body (top/back) and laminated maple sides deliver precise attack, good hold in amplified contexts, and the typical "hollow" character of hollow bodies. The parallel bracing enhances projection and definition while maintaining a crisp dynamic. At the bridge, the DynaSonic provides a sharp, detailed sound perfect for picking and snapping rhythms. At the neck, the Lindy Fralin "Dog Ear" (P90 format) adds grain, width, and expressive warmth. The whole setup remains very sensitive to playing nuances, with a decidedly vintage character, and the Bigsby allows subtle vibratos in the spirit of classic Gretsch guitars.
