What FasTrack Is For
FasTrack is an audio processing plug-in designed to speed up mixing and ensure sound quality, both in the studio and live performance situations. It allows you to quickly shape vocals, drums, guitar, or keyboards by combining equalization, dynamics, and effects within a single interface. The goal is simple: achieve a cleaner, more present, and better-controlled sound while maintaining a smooth workflow in your DAW.
Main Features
The Unique Character of the Harrison 32C Equalizer
At the heart of FasTrack is the legendary 32C EQ that made Harrison famous. With its four equalization bands (HI, LOW, and two MID), you sculpt the tone precisely: open up the high end, thicken the low end, enhance attack, or clear space in the midrange to improve intelligibility. The EQ is complemented by a 32C filter module featuring high-pass and low-pass filters to clean unwanted frequencies, control rumble, or create more creative cutoff effects.
Presets: Go from Good to Great in a Few Clicks
The Presets module in FasTrack is designed to get straight to the point: you select a usage category (vocals, drums, guitars, keyboards), then adjust by ear without wasting time. The 14 factory presets serve as reliable starting points, while the 6 user slots allow you to save your favorite settings to instantly recall a consistent sound from project to project. This is especially useful when you need to make quick decisions, maintain a sonic signature, or move through sessions without breaking your workflow momentum.
Cleaning and Control: Noise Gate, Expander, De-Esser
FasTrack includes essential tools to improve recording clarity. The Noise Gate helps reduce background noise and bleed, keeping a track cleaner and more focused in the mix. For a more musical behavior, the Expander mode provides finer control, especially over attack and release, to maintain a natural sound while managing silent passages. The Harrison De-Esser gently reduces sibilance and some harshness in the high frequencies, making it easier to achieve a more stable and professional vocal without harshness.
Compression with Sidechain Filter: Punch, Cohesion, and Control
The Compressor module adds impact, smooths vocal performances, or "glues" a track into the mix. Its sidechain filter helps avoid unwanted reactions, for example when low frequencies trigger excessive compression. The result: better-controlled dynamics, more consistency, and a cleaner sound, particularly useful on uneven takes or sources rich in transients.
Built-In Effects: Depth, Dimension, and Space
To enrich the sound without multiplying inserts, FasTrack offers dedicated effects: Chorus to thicken and widen, Delay to create rhythmic depth and a sense of space, and Reverb to place the instrument in a coherent environment. Whether you seek subtle presence or a more pronounced ambiance, these effects make soundscape creation more immediate while staying within an efficient production framework.
Flexible Drag-and-Drop Routing
One of FasTrack's strengths is its customizable routing: you can rearrange the order of processing blocks with simple drag-and-drop actions. This makes it easy to adapt the plug-in to your workflow (for example, cleaning before compressing, or compressing before equalizing), and quickly optimize the result depending on the source. This flexibility saves time while maintaining precise control over tone and dynamics.
