Because a nearfield monitor is often placed on a desk, the TYPE 05 MK2 White offers a Desktop filter designed to limit the influence of furniture reflections. The Hi and Low shelving filters then allow rapid tonal balance adjustments depending on placement (proximity to a wall, lively room, too bright or too dull listening). To adjust the foundation, the Bass-extension mode can boost the low end by up to 20 percent, handy when working at moderate levels or in a room where the bass seems "thin." Finally, the close or ported choice lets you direct the low-frequency behavior: favor a very controlled and clear response in close mode, or a fuller bass sensation in ported mode depending on your environment.

To integrate cleanly into a control room, the TYPE 05 MK2 White combines an analog XLR input and a digital AES input compatible with AES/EBU featuring daisy-chaining, simplifying cabling in installations.
