Summary of This Method

This beginner piano method gathers pieces written for the author's students, with a clear intention: to spark the desire to play while progressively building a reliable pianistic foundation. Learning is not limited to "playing notes": it aims to develop an expressive, flexible, and organized playing style very early on, so that the piano becomes a true means of expression.

From the introductory pages, the approach favors experimentation over theory. Sound games invite exploration of the piano's mechanics and expressive possibilities. The sheet music is deliberately set aside at first to focus on the essentials: listening, feeling the pulse, musical momentum, and how to connect a gesture to it. This logic helps the child naturally embed what they play into a musical flow and understand the direct link between the quality of the pianistic gesture and the sound produced.

The 92 pieces follow a thoughtfully designed progression to accompany the child's hand coherently. After working on the arm, the hand settles on the keyboard by gradually discovering finger play: the "easiest" fingers first, the thumb last. Difficulties are distributed evenly and addressed one by one in simple pieces before being developed in more elaborate works. The journey is also marked by concert pieces, designed as synthesis milestones: they allow consolidation of skills, evaluation of progress, and reinforcement of confidence.

Ideal as a beginner piano method for children, this progressive approach emphasizes musicality, rhythmic stability, and playing comfort to train young pianists capable of playing with confidence and expressiveness... all while enjoying sitting at the keyboard.
