With a stated capacity of up to 50 people, it is well suited for acoustic setups, speeches, duos, and DJ sets at moderate volume. When the audience is seated (cocktail, conference, ceremony), the modular design allows adjusting the diffusion height by removing the lower element that serves as a stand.

A constant directivity column for even coverage

The upper element is dedicated to diffusion, featuring six 3-inch neodymium speakers for midrange, integrated into a low-resonance aluminum profile. This architecture aims for precise and intelligible reproduction, especially useful for vocals and instruments that need to remain present without harshness.
High frequencies are handled by a 1-inch driver coupled with a constant directivity horn. The result: a dispersion of 120 degrees horizontally, limiting "too loud" zones in the front row and maintaining homogeneous listening further into the room.

A dedicated subwoofer for "tight" and dynamic bass

For bass, HK Audio relies on a physical approach: a wooden cabinet with a large enclosure volume and very sturdy construction, designed to reduce unwanted resonances. The custom-designed 8-inch driver targets a clean low end with a sharp attack, appreciated on kick drums, bass, electronic loops, and vocals delivered with a solid foundation.
Transport is facilitated by recessed handles located on the top and bottom. A padded protective cover is included, and a dolly can be optionally used if you frequently move the system.

The integrated mixer offers immediate connectivity logic with 4 channels: two channels for microphones and line signals (e.g., keyboard or mixer output), one high-impedance instrument channel, and one AUX channel dedicated to DJ sources, audio players, or streaming. The microphone inputs feature switchable phantom power for condenser microphones.
Convenient for gigs: a USB-C power output allows charging a smartphone, tablet, or battery-powered wireless microphone receiver without adding a charger to the cable setup.

Bluetooth TWS: true wireless stereo between two systems

Thanks to Bluetooth TWS (True Wireless Stereo), two POLAR 8 MK2 units can be paired to broadcast a stereo stream without a linking cable, from a smartphone, tablet, or streaming device.
