An Electro-Acoustic Designed for Electric Guitarists

Designed in the AEWC line by Ibanez, the AEWC16QA transfers the speed and ergonomics of an electric guitar into the acoustic realm. Its slim body and comfort bevels promote long playing sessions without fatigue, while the modern "quilted" aesthetic stands out on stage.

For Whom and Which Styles?

Perfect for motivated beginners to intermediate players and electric guitarists seeking an easy folk, it excels in pop, rock, indie, worship, and light fingerstyle accompaniment. The slim body limits purely acoustic volume but provides excellent feedback control when amplified.

The Sound

The linden top, enhanced with a "Quilted Maple Art Grain" veneer, delivers clarity and attack, while the sapele (back/sides) offers full mids and bright highs. The thinner AEWC body focuses projection for a precise sound with controlled sustain, ideal in amplified contexts. The under-saddle piezo pickup faithfully captures dynamics, and the AEQ-2T preamp allows quick adjustment of bass/treble to switch from bright strumming to rounder picking.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

• Steel folk string set 12-53 (phosphor bronze) to maintain original tension and balance.
