The Ibanez AT100 is a great guitar. The Dimarzio pickup combination is very versatile and the neck is very easy to play. Access to the treble is perfect, nothing gets in the way of the left hand. The hardware is of high quality (the Gotoh locking machines are even adjustable in height...) and the woods are obviously selected (two-piece alder body, âquarter sawnâ neck with added maple fingerboard). The guitar is pretty light.
No signature by Andy Timmons on the instrument but it is the most strategic of the Ibanez so there is no doubt that it will not go unnoticed. The Prestige case is lightweight and very well finished with the usual tool kit.
The vibrato shaft is inserted like those of the PRS: no screws or lugs to clip on and it fits in any position.
Note: the handle is quite thin at the nut (40mm instead of the usual 42mm for stratoids). Personally, it didn't bother me or required time to adapt: you plug in the guitar and play by itself;]
