Tone

The combination of a poplar burl top and an okoumé / ash winged body provides an interesting balance between attack, clarity, and sustain, with a solid low-end response. The neck-through construction, paired with the 5-piece maple/walnut neck reinforced by graphite rods, promotes exemplary stability and a seamless tonal continuity across the neck. The Panga Panga fingerboard highlights tight low-mids and a crisp high-end attack.

On the electronics side, the T1 passive humbuckers (individually coil-wound) deliver firm lows, punchy mids, and clean highs, while improving thumb comfort thanks to their rounded design. The Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band preamp with bypass and 3-way mid frequency selector allows switching from a wide, hi-fi sound to a more focused grain, while retaining a convenient passive option to go back to basics.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To respect the multi-scale design, the bass is set up for D'Addario NYXL45130 strings suitable for 37". For transport, the recommended case is the Ibanez IBB540-BK, and a hard case is included.
