Its character is perfectly suited for funk, modern rock, metal, gospel, and fusion, with excellent response for fingerstyle, pick playing, or slap (detachable finger ramp included depending on playing preferences).

Sound

The combination of a poplar burl top and a selected lightweight African mahogany body provides a warm foundation, with rich resonance and present low-mids. The 9-piece Panga Panga/Walnut neck, reinforced with graphite rods, promotes a clear attack, tight lows, and stable sustain. The Nordstrand Big Split pickups deliver a powerful and well-balanced sound with appreciated noise reduction, while the Vari-Mid equalizer allows precise selection of the midrange area to boost or scoop, shifting from a percussive, punchy sound to a rounder, denser tone.

To maintain the original feel and balance, you can consider a set of D'Addario EXL170-5SL strings (gauges .045/.065/.080/.100/.130). For transport, a gig bag is included, and the Ibanez MRB350C case is recommended for this model.
