Its 30" / 762 mm scale length provides a softer playing feel, ideal for fast runs, wide intervals, and long rehearsals. It excels in modern music styles (fusion, pop, gospel, progressive metal, electro) while remaining comfortable whenever precision, attack, and excellent note separation on the B string are required.

Sound Characteristics

The Nordstrand Big Split Custom duo combines the energy of a humbucker-format pickup with highly articulated response: the lows remain dense, the mids are present without muddiness, and the highs retain beautiful clarity. The 3-band active EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble) allows instant adaptation of the bass to the context: warm and deep tone, punchier slap, or emphasized mids to cut through a busy mix. The 9-piece PangaPanga/Walnut neck construction reinforced with graphite promotes stability and consistent sustain, while the lightweight selected African mahogany body and poplar burl top add a fast response, very effective for modern and defined sounds.
