This 5-string bass is aimed at intermediate to advanced bassists seeking quick playability, excellent stability, and an instrument comfortable both on stage and in the studio. Its headless format, balance, and multi-scale fingerboard make it an ideal partner for demanding modern styles: fusion, progressive rock, metal, neo-soul, funk, and pop. It is also suitable for musicians who endure long rehearsals and want a comfortable, precise, and adaptable instrument.

Sound

The combination of a poplar burl top and a selected lightweight African mahogany body promotes a rich response with full lows and a nice roundness while maintaining definition. The two Nordstrand Custom Big Split pickups provide a modern, articulate, and powerful character: plenty of presence in the mix, excellent clarity on the 5th string, and a convincing balance between attack and sustain. The 3-band active EQ allows fine sculpting of the spectrum (bass, mid, treble) to switch from a crisp and precise sound to a denser texture. The EQ switch adds a more organic approach thanks to the passive tone control integrated on the treble knob.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

This bass comes with a gig bag. For a suitable case, the manufacturer recommends the MRB500C. A 9V battery is required for the active electronics (9V x1).
