This Ibanez targets intermediate to expert guitarists seeking a fast and stable instrument, ideal for modern techniques (alternate picking, legato, tapping, precise bends). Naturally comfortable in metal, hard rock, prog, and shred, it also covers current pop/rock styles thanks to the 5-position selector and more open coil combinations.

The Tone

The two DiMarzio Pandemonium humbuckers (ceramic) deliver a clear and powerful response: tight lows, present mids, and sharp highs to maintain clarity in a dense mix. In the middle position, the DiMarzio True Velvet (alnico) adds a vintage character, perfect for silky cleans and snappy intermediate positions. The 5-position selector uses combinations (including coil splits) to expand the palette, from massive riffs to more open arpeggios. On the craftsmanship side, the flamed maple top enhances attack, African mahogany supports sustain, and the ebony fingerboard emphasizes articulation and immediacy. Finally, the Edge-Zero paired with the ZPS3 secures neutral return and tuning stability during dive bombs and vibratos.
