A Signature Born from the AZS Series

Resulting from close collaboration between Ibanez and Lari Basilio, the LB1 is inspired by the AZS platform while integrating the artist's requirements. It retains the modern ergonomics of the range, adds custom electronics, and optimized luthiery for intonation, versatility, and reliability on stage and in the studio.

For Whom and Which Styles?

Designed for intermediate to expert guitarists, the LB1 excels in rock, fusion, modern jazz, pop, and Brazilian music styles. Its S-S-H configuration and dyna-MIX9 system allow instant switching from precise twang to funky, snappy rhythms, then to singing and tight leads, without changing guitars.

The Sound

The ash body provides clarity, defined low mids, and controlled brightness. The S-TECH maple neck/fingerboard adds attack and quick response, ideal for technical passages. On the electronics side, the Seymour Duncan Lari Basilio pickups offer a warm and present neck single coil (Alnico 5/4 mix), a versatile middle single coil (Alnico 5/2), and a precise, dynamic Alnico 5 bridge humbucker. The 5-position selector and dyna-MIX9 Alter Switch multiply textures (coil splits, parallel combinations, and humbucker simulation via two singles). The Gotoh T1702B tremolo ensures a sharp attack, excellent tuning stability, and enhanced sustain thanks to the brass block and saddles. Luminlay markers guarantee perfect visibility on stage.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

Choose a set of nickel strings .010-.046 compatible for direct replacement of the supplied D'Addario EXL110. A standard strap fits the original strap buttons without modification. An adjustable tension capo for electric guitar will suit the 9" to 12" compound radius, and a microfiber cloth will preserve the glossy polyester finish.
