The LGB300 belongs to the Ibanez archtops in the LGB format, a design focused on expressiveness, articulation, and elegance. The Sound
The combination of a spruce top and maple (back and sides) provides a typical archtop balance: clear attack, beautiful chord definition, and natural projection, with a "woody" feel under the fingers. The Super 58 pickups complement this character with a smooth and nuanced grain: in the neck position, you get a full and velvety sound perfect for jazz, while the bridge pickup adds more bite and presence. The 3-position selector (neck, neck + bridge, bridge) and the 2 volume / 2 tone controls allow fine sculpting of the tone, from muffled sounds to more biting attacks.
