With its Jumbo size, the PJ50E aims for generous projection and a broad response in the low end, while maintaining clear definition thanks to its spruce top. The addition of simple and effective electronics (AEQ-2T) makes it comfortable both for acoustic playing and amplification, without complicating the controls on the side of the instrument.

Sound Characteristics

The spruce top provides precise attack, brightness, and good chord clarity, helping the guitar to "cut through" the mix. The meranti used for the back and sides tends toward a warm and balanced sound, with present mids and even diffusion. The nandu fingerboard and bridge complete the set with a rather round and musical response. When amplified, the undersaddle pickup favors a direct and defined reproduction, while the AEQ-2T preamp allows quick adjustment of bass and treble, and the use of the built-in tuner even when not plugged in.
