Prestige x Axe Design Lab: Ibanez's High-Performance DNA

Heir to over three decades of innovations, the RG5121RET embodies the "Prestige" spirit (precision, performance, playability) and Ibanez's "Axe Design Lab" approach. Designed and manufactured at the highest level, it incorporates solutions that have become benchmarks among modern guitarists, from material selection to advanced hardware.

Who Is This Guitar For?

Ideal for intermediate to professional guitarists demanding a fast, precise, and reliable instrument. Its natural playground covers metal (djent, prog, modern metal), hard rock, and styles requiring sharp palm-muting, cutting attack, and controlled dynamics both on stage and in the studio.

Sound

The Fishman Fluence Modern Ceramic humbuckers deliver tight lows, punchy mids, and incisive highs with minimal background noise. The voicing switch allows switching from a high output setting to a clear and smooth register, useful for arpeggios and compressed cleans. The African mahogany body provides warm mids and a solid foundation, while the rosewood fingerboard enhances midrange focus and definition. The jumbo stainless steel frets improve articulation and durability, and the EverTune bridge ensures consistent intonation and sustain regardless of conditions.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

Ibanez hard case included. Add a quality strap (standard strap locks), a set of 6-string electric guitar strings with gauges 09-42 or 10-46 and ball ends, and a tuner to adjust the EverTune tension when changing string gauges.
