Axion Label RGD: a modern vision of the metal guitar
From the Axion Label series, the RGD61ALET emphasizes modern performance: ultra-fast playability, powerful electronics, and a bold look. The RGD format and its extended scale length target styles requiring definition, tension, and tuning stability, while the high-end equipment (EverTune, Fishman, Gotoh, Schaller) makes it a true platform for demanding guitarists.
For which guitarists and styles
This electric guitar is mainly aimed at intermediate to expert players seeking a precise machine for modern metal, djent, metalcore, and all low tunings (Drop, D tunings, etc.). Thanks to the voicing system and coil-tap, it can also venture into more clear and articulate registers, perfect for clean intros, arpeggios, and modern textures.
Sound
The Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker Ceramic pickups (neck and bridge) deliver a sharp attack, excellent note separation, and an output level tailored for dense distortion while limiting noise. The Voicing (via push/pull volume) allows switching from a modern, tight, and powerful character to a clearer and smoother voice, and the coil-tap adds thinner, snappier tones for increased versatility. The Nyatoh body combined with the maple top contributes to a balanced response, with firm lows and good presence, while the 5-piece Panga Panga / walnut neck, very rigid, promotes stability and generous sustain.
Recommended compatible accessories
The guitar comes with D'Addario EXL110 strings in 010-046 gauges: if you want to keep the original feel and balance, this set is a safe choice. A case or gig bag recommended by the manufacturer is indicated: M300C.

Questions frequently asked
Is the RGD61ALET suitable for low tunings and djent?
The 26.5-inch (673 mm) scale length provides greater string tension, which is an advantage for Drop and D tunings. The EverTune bridge helps maintain tuning stability during heavy rhythmic playing.
What pickups does this Ibanez RGD61ALET feature?
It is equipped with two active Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker Ceramic pickups at the neck and bridge positions. The push/pull volume knob switches between Voice 1 and Voice 2, while a coil-tap switch expands the available tones.
Is the neck suitable for fast playing?
The five-piece Nitro Wizard neck made of Panga Panga/walnut measures 19 mm at the 1st fret and 21 mm at the 12th fret. Its ebony fingerboard, 400 mm radius, and 24 treated Jumbo Sub Zero frets favor fast playing techniques. Luminescent side markers facilitate positioning on stage.
What string gauge is fitted from the factory?
The original setup uses a D'Addario EXL110 set in 010-046: 010, 013, 017, 026, 036, and 046.
Which case is compatible with the RGD61ALET-MGM?
