An RGR Built for Performance in the RG Spirit

Following the line of Ibanez guitars focused on speed and precision, the RGRB620 embodies the brand's "superstrat" DNA: easy access to the high frets, ergonomics designed for technical playing, and versatile electronics. It clearly targets guitarists who want a modern, responsive guitar ready for both stage and studio, with a high level of stability and comfort across the entire neck.

Who Is It For, and What Styles?

The Ibanez RGRB620 is aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking an effective electric guitar for metal, modern rock, prog, djent, and all styles requiring clean palm-mutes, fast riffs, and fluid solos. The 24 frets and Jumbo frets facilitate bends, legato, and alternate picking passages, while the switching versatility also allows exploration of clearer, more aggressive tones.

The Sound

The nyatoh body provides a solid foundation with rich mids and lows, ideal for dense rhythms and leads that retain body. The DiMarzio D Activator pickups (passive, ceramic magnets) deliver a powerful, clean, and open sound with excellent low-end sustain: perfect for standard tunings and modern distortions where precision is crucial. The dyna-MIX10 system with Alter Switch multiplies combinations and includes the Power Tap mode, handy for achieving more "single coil" style attacks while maintaining a two-humbucker setup. The ebony fingerboard enhances attack, quick response, and rich sustain, with well-defined highs that make harmonics stand out easily.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

For transport and protection, the manufacturer recommends: M300C case and IGB540-BK gig bag. Regarding strings, the guitar comes factory-equipped with D'Addario EXL120 in gauge 009-042: you can keep this gauge to maintain the same playing feel (comfort, ease of bending) and reliable balance with the tremolo.
