SR Premium: The Modern DNA of the Iconic Series

Designed to "inspire," the SR1325SB follows the SR Premium lineage: rigorous wood selection, high-end electronics, and meticulous finishes. The SR philosophy remains intact: a lightweight, responsive instrument with a fast neck, designed for both stage and studio use.

Who Is It For and What Styles?

Ideal for intermediate to professional bassists seeking efficiency and versatility. Its comfort and electronics make it suitable for funk, rock, metal, fusion, gospel, and pop, with a presence that cuts through the mix without sacrificing warmth.

The Sound

The combination of sanded ash (more clarity and attack) and African mahogany (warmth and sustain) provides a balanced and expressive tonal foundation. The Nordstrand Big Break pickups deliver a powerful, punchy split-coil tone with the definition of a single coil but without unwanted noise. The Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ refines the tonal contour, while the 3-position mid switch targets the presence range. The bypass transforms the treble into an overall passive tone, perfect for more organic textures.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To get the best out of this SR, choose a 5-string long scale 34" bass string set (stainless steel for more attack, nickel for more warmth). Add a comfortable, wide strap for long sessions, a clip-on tuner, and a quality 6.35 mm instrument cable. The dedicated Ibanez gig bag is already included.
