Controls, Modes, and Design: A Wah Focused on Exploration

The Twin Peaks is designed to be intuitive while offering an unusual adjustment range for a wah. The core of the concept is the BALANCE control: it manages the mix ratio between the two frequency peaks created by the dual inductance circuit resonances. Turning it counterclockwise emphasizes the high peak (closer to a traditional and more incisive wah). Turning it clockwise accentuates the low peak (broader, rounder, with a "modded/signature" character).

The TONE switch offers two sweep ranges. In HIGH mode, the high resonance sweeps from 670 Hz to 3 kHz, a higher zone than most wahs: perfect for very defined attacks, even if you soften the top end via the balance control, master level, or guitar tone. In this mode, the low resonance ranges from 300 Hz to 1 kHz. In LOW mode, the high resonance covers 440 Hz to 2 kHz (a more "classic" territory), while the low resonance goes from 220 Hz to 750 Hz, ideal for thicker, more organic wahs.

Finally, the Master LEVEL control adjusts the overall output level: unity at 12 o'clock and up to +6 dB boost. The pedal features true bypass to preserve your signal's character when the effect is off.

The Sound

The Twin Peaks' sonic signature lies between traditional expressive wah and a more "sound design" approach. With the high peak, you get that vocal, sharp, and precise character that highlights pick attacks and strumming. Gradually adding the low peak via BALANCE gives the sweep more density and body: notes sound fuller, riffs more imposing, and leads broader, without losing articulation.

The pedal responds very well to dynamics: light playing for subtle movement, strong attack for a more spectacular effect. Thanks to the TONE + BALANCE duo, you can also finely adjust presence in the mix, whether playing bright single-coils or fuller humbuckers.
