A Reverb Designed for Essentials, in the Spirit of the "3 Series"

The JHS Pedals 3 Series was created with a clear idea: to offer straightforward, accessible, and inspiring pedals while maintaining a true standard of quality. The Hall Reverb features one of the most essential effects for the modern guitarist: large hall reverb, which instantly gives a sense of "real" space, depth, and grandeur, as if your amp were projected into a huge hall.

Instead of multiplying modes, this pedal focuses on a spacious, modulatable, and musical Hall character, with just enough options to go from a widened clean sound to a downright cinematic texture.

For Which Guitarists and Styles?

The JHS 3 Series Hall Reverb is suitable both for beginners who want a quality reverb that's easy to dial in and for experienced musicians looking for a "big" reverb to keep underfoot live. It excels on clean and crunch tones but also adds air to distorted sounds, especially when the Dampen control is finely adjusted to prevent the highs from becoming overwhelming.

Style-wise, it is a natural ally for ambient, post-rock, shoegaze, atmospheric intros, arpeggiated parts, as well as more "worship" and cinematic sections. In the studio, it creates instant depth without relying on a reverb plug-in, and on stage, it helps fill the space, especially in trio or power duo formats.

Controls, Switch, and Handling

The interface is intentionally immediate: three potentiometers and one switch. The Verb knob controls the overall effect intensity (the amount of reverb and sense of size). Dampen acts as a damping control to shape the brightness of the tail: darker and velvety for thick pads, or brighter for a more present and clear reverb in the mix. Finally, Decay adjusts the length of the decay, ranging from relatively short reflections to a very long tail, ideal for floating pads.

The Modulate switch adds subtle modulation to the reverb decay. The result: the space becomes wider and more alive, with a slightly moving character that provides a flattering "3D" dimension for sustained chords, volume swells, and melodies. The footswitch toggles the effect on/off, with a status LED for quick identification on a pedalboard.

Sound

The 3 Series Hall Reverb aims for a spacious, deep, and enveloping reverb, typical of a "large hall." It doesn't just thicken the sound: it creates perspective and distance, as if your guitar were projected into an architectural space. With moderate Dampen, you get a warm and elegant reverb, very easy to integrate behind chord playing. Opening the Dampen increases presence and definition, useful for keeping the attack clear on arpeggios.

Its strong point is the sensation of a long and lush tail: pushing the Decay makes the note seem to float, naturally encouraging slow phrasing, open harmonies, and textures. With modulation activated, the effect takes on a more "otherworldly" dimension, perfect for turning a simple guitar part into a true soundscape without complicating your setup.
