Sound and design

Made of metal and 24-carat gold-plated, the tenor DV offers a wide and full sound with an immediate responsive feel under the reed. Its goal is clear: to provide more power and superior projection, while balancing to avoid aggressive brightness. The result is a very clear presence, precise attack, and good density in the mid and low registers, useful for maintaining body even at high volume.
The 2.57 mm tip opening encourages expressive playing, with a nice dynamic range: you can easily achieve a sharp sound when pushing, but also rounder nuances by softening the air and attack.

The mouthpiece is delivered with a ligature and a mouthpiece cap, so the most relevant accessories to consider are a tenor saxophone swab (for regular maintenance) and a mouthpiece case/box to protect the table and rails during transport. If you frequently change reeds, a ventilated reed holder can also improve the stability and lifespan of your reeds.
