Essential Information About the Lâg T70D Tramontane Dreadnought Black and Brown Guitar

  • Solid Engelmann Spruce Top: more dynamics, better projection, and a richer response than a laminated top.

  • Dreadnought Format: generous volume, present bass, and excellent chord response.

  • Comfort Designed for Progress: slim neck, comfortable action, and a double-action truss rod to maintain stable setup.

  • Refined Look: satin finish, satin black hardware, and elegant "Black and Brown" details.

A Tramontane T70: The Accessible "Solid Top" Spirit

Within the Tramontane range, the T70 series stands out for a rare lutherie choice at this level: a solid soundboard. This is a key point to achieve a folk guitar that responds better to playing, with more nuances, while maintaining an "immediate pleasure" approach and a very competitive quality/price ratio.

For Which Guitarist and Styles?

The T70D is primarily aimed at beginners and intermediate players who want a reassuring folk guitar that is easy to handle and motivating for daily practice. Its dreadnought format is perfect for accompanying singing, working on strumming, pop, acoustic rock, variety, and country, while remaining comfortable with simple arpeggios.

Sound

The solid Engelmann spruce top provides clarity, precision, and a nice dynamic reserve: the harder you play, the more the guitar "opens" its sound. The X bracing contributes to overall balance and projection, particularly appreciated on a dreadnought. The sapelli back and sides reinforce the low-mids and give a warm tone, while the satin and "open pore" finish promotes a natural resonance feel. The result: a balanced timbre, with solid bass, clear trebles, and pleasant sustain for both chords and arpeggios.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To stay true to the original spirit, opt for Light gauge 12-53 metal folk strings (80/20 bronze type). A folk guitar capo and plectrums ideally complete the setup to vary attack styles and work on rhythm.
