An Ironheart in pedal format: the spirit of a modern amp, designed for the pedalboard

The BCC-LOUDPEDAL-IMM embodies the Ironheart DNA: a contemporary tone, precise attack, and versatility covering both sculpted cleans and dense saturations. Designed as an amp pedal (not just a distortion), it aims to recreate the feel of a head amp, with dynamic response and "amp" behavior under the fingers. The edition associated with Martin Miller emphasizes definition, balance, and the ability to integrate into modern setups (direct, in-ear, stage, home studio), without sacrificing the feel of a real amp channel.

Who is this amp pedal for, and in what contexts does it make a difference?

This pedal targets intermediate to professional guitarists seeking a reliable, compact, and coherent rig: a pedalboard capable of driving a speaker cabinet in rehearsal or going direct to console in concert via DI. It is particularly suited for styles demanding both cleanliness and precision (pop, funk, modern rock, fusion, prog), while retaining headroom for more aggressive saturations depending on the guitar and gain setting.

In the studio, the headphone output and auxiliary input facilitate working with a metronome, backing tracks, or preparing presets. Live, the symmetrical DI with switchable analog speaker simulation secures a plan A (front-of-house direct) and plan B (cabinet) without changing gear: a very "tour-ready" approach designed to minimize setup time and surprises.

Controls, voicings, and connectivity: a true sound platform

The BCC-LOUDPEDAL-IMM offers 2 channels, each with Gain and Volume to precisely calibrate output level and saturation amount. Channel 1 includes three modes: symmetrical / clean / asymmetrical to adjust harmonic behavior and headroom feel: useful for switching from a wide, stable clean to a livelier edge-of-breakup or a more biting texture.

Channel 2 features a Bright / Flat / Dark voicing, very handy for instantly adapting the amp to the guitar (single coils or humbuckers), the cabinet, or the mix: more brightness to stand out in a band, a balanced mode for "studio-ready" sounds, or a darker signature to tame an overly present high end. The passive 3-band EQ offers amp-typical musicality: it sculpts the sound without flattening it and maintains an organic feel when playing at guitar volume.

For space, the adjustable BCC SECRETPATH Spring reverb adds immediate depth, from a light halo to a more pronounced resonance, ideal for giving air to a clean or thickening a lead. Finally, the high-quality effects loop, transformer-isolated, is designed to accommodate delays, reverbs, or modulations while preserving a clean and silent signal, especially in complex setups (digital pedals, multiple power supplies, electrically "busy" stages).

The sound

Character-wise, the BCC-LOUDPEDAL-IMM stands out with a modern, precise, and dynamic signature. Attacks remain clear even with rich chords, and the saturation maintains a harmonic structure that helps "read" the playing in a band context. In clean, you get a defined sound with ample headroom for effects; in crunch, the pedal responds well to the picking hand and guitar volume knob; in drive, you enjoy a denser grain capable of tight, punchy textures.

The DI output with switchable analog speaker simulation facilitates achieving a mix-ready tone without relying on a microphone, while the Laney Advanced Impulse Response technology, controllable via app, opens the door to direct sounds even better tailored to your chain (guitars, tunings, cabinets, styles). The result: an amp pedal that can be the heart of a minimalist rig or integrate into a large pedalboard without losing coherence.
