LD Systems ANNY 12 BPH B8

A Portable Speaker Designed for Hassle-Free Performances

This portable active speaker is positioned as an all-in-one sound reinforcement solution for anyone who needs a system that is easy to transport, quick to set up and complete enough to cover a wide range of applications. Its self-contained format, integrated mixer and 2-way full-range sound system make it a particularly relevant choice for vocals, background music, entertainment, showcases or outdoor performances.

In the world of portable PA systems, ANNY clearly focuses on versatility. It combines amplification, mixing, effects, wireless playback and battery power in a single system. This makes it an ideal speaker for working without relying on a fixed installation, while maintaining clear, dynamic and clean sound even at high volume.

Who Is It For and In Which Contexts?

This model is aimed at live musicians, entertainers, speakers, street performers, teachers and event professionals, as well as discerning individuals looking for a high-end portable speaker. The two mic/line inputs make it easy to connect vocal microphones, instruments, a small mixer or a voice-and-music setup.

It naturally fits mobile performances, ceremonies, speeches, group classes, in-store events, promotional activities or acoustic sets. Its 35 mm pole mount also allows installation on a speaker stand to optimise sound coverage. Thanks to its wheels and telescopic handle, moving it between locations or during a quick setup is easier and smoother.

The two slots for receiver modules also allow more freedom on stage or during events, with compatible wireless microphones or bodypacks. The included headset microphone with bodypack transmitter further reinforces this on-the-go versatility, particularly for coaches, trainers, presenters or artists who need to keep their hands free.

Integrated Mixing, Extended Battery Life and Modern Connectivity

One of this speaker's major strengths is its integrated 6-channel mixer. You can connect several sources simultaneously and adjust the sound with 3-band EQ. The reverb and Delay effects add depth to vocals or refine a performance without requiring an external processor. For even greater convenience, a footswitch input allows you to control the effects with your foot, a real advantage when performing.

In terms of sound, the DynX DSP Gen. 2 processing helps preserve clarity and limit distortion as the level increases. The result: vocals remain intelligible and music content stays controlled, even at high volume. With a maximum level of 122 dB SPL, this speaker can cover a variety of spaces while maintaining strong sound projection.

For wireless playback and streaming, Bluetooth 5.0 makes it easy to connect a smartphone, tablet or laptop. The TWS function enables stereo streaming with two ANNY speakers, widening the soundstage and increasing coverage. This is a particularly attractive option for larger events, parties or temporary installations.

Battery life is another of its strong points. Depending on usage, it can run for up to 50 hours in ECO mode or approximately 5 hours at maximum volume. The hot-swap function with 4 batteries ensures uninterrupted operation, which is invaluable during long days of entertainment, outdoor performances or professional situations where reliability is essential.

Finally, practical details further enhance the overall experience: an integrated stand for a tablet or smartphone, a USB-C port for charging a mobile device during use, priority or ducking mode to automatically bring vocals forward over the music, and versatile connectivity for easily integrating modern or traditional sources. Everything is designed to provide a self-contained, flexible system that is quick to use.
