CURV 500 Power Set: the "compact line array" approach designed for stage and installation
The LD Systems CURV 500 Power Set was designed to fulfill a simple idea: to achieve wide coverage and a "line array type" sound in a lightweight, modular, and quick-to-set-up format. Available in several variants suited for live performance as well as fixed installation, the CURV 500 stands out with its integrated design, where the bass cabinet serves both as the mechanical base and the nerve center (amplification, mixing, processing). Designed in Germany, it targets professional use without unnecessary complexity.
A system for DJs, bands, events, and mobile performances
This sound system is ideal if you're looking for a compact solution capable of delivering solid sound levels: DJ gigs, acoustic workshops, small to medium-sized bands, speeches and corporate events, animations, bars, multipurpose rooms, places of worship, or itinerant performances. Thanks to its controlled vertical directivity (line array) and wide horizontal dispersion, the CURV 500 helps project sound evenly, limiting the "hot spot" effect in the front row and lack of presence at the back of the room.
WaveAhead technology, SmartLink, and integrated mixing: efficiency without hassle
WaveAhead: definition and punch in a 12 x 12 cm format
Each satellite uses a 4" midrange speaker combined with 3 x 1" tweeters and WaveAhead technology. The goal: clear and articulated reproduction, with a sense of presence and impact despite the compact size. The system is completed by an integrated passive crossover and a metal grille for reliable use in real conditions.
SmartLink: a modular, lockable, and plug-and-play line array
The one-piece die-cast aluminum satellites are designed for quick and stable assembly and connect via the SmartLink adapter. This creates an expandable column designed to adapt to the context: more satellites for increased projection and coverage, while maintaining a system that is simple to transport and install.
Bass cabinets: the heart of the system (amplification, DSP, mixer, and Bluetooth)
The bass reflex cabinets house a 10" woofer and integrate the system's Class D amplification. The DSP processing includes a multiband limiter and protections (short circuit, overheating, overload) to secure performances at sustained levels. Practically, you benefit from a 4-channel mixer with Hi/Low EQ on channels 1-2, a digital multi-effects processor (16 presets), and a Bluetooth receiver for easy wireless audio source streaming.
The connectivity is versatile for stage use: inputs on Combo connectors (XLR and 6.35 mm Jack), 3.5 mm mini-jack, dedicated satellite outputs (Speakon compatible), and XLR outputs. Finally, transport is facilitated by 3 ergonomic handles and an M20 threaded socket for support bars.
